|
|
Below is the info on my case of head lice and the finding of ulesfia which just came out on july 10th and I saw it last night and cracked it and am already using it.
Problem with their method is it doesn't kill the eggs which can hatch at ANY time which I also repeat below and while they say 'every 7 days' it should be EVERY day OR EOD at least along with the following two procedures.
1) Apple cider vinegar (ACV) 'rinse'. Since BA doesn't kill the eggs you need to get them out the kids hair so after the kids' hair dries you soak it/wash it down with ACV and let it set maybe 5 minutes. They are gonna hate it and it may gag them, but tough SHIT! You DO NOT want this shit all over your house or for you to get head lice, too! The ACV loosens the glue the lice stick the eggs to the hair with and then you use a nit comb and comb out the eggs. Then they can rinse out the ACV with water only or leave it in as ACV is totally safe and make the hair shine and straighten and also is a dandruff control.
2) If you want to outright kill the eggs, too, you can use what is called a 'lousebuster' which is a hot air gun set at 140F with a comb at the end. You can also use a common heat gun and with mine, setting 1 is 140F, and setting 2 is 180F which I've used. The problem with this method is that while it can kill 98% of the eggs with the comb, that's still 2% which can come back and it's another REAL FUCKING PAIN IN THE ASS with the lousebuster as you have to 'section' the hair off into about 20 sections and heat and comb through both sides.
Both of those work, but if the dumb fucks in your house DO NOT follow the directions and do this every day for at least a week to two weeks, you can still get it back which is why I've now made my own ulesfia as you can't teach a retard to listen and when I saw they were using the same hair brushes and combs and hair clips and not tossing the shit or sterilizing them I said, 'You ARE NOT LISTENING and this is going to be a fucking nightmare if you don't do exactly what I say!' Of course, they knew better and have now had it for 2 mos at least and recently went to get a hair cut and got good and embarrassed cause they saw the lice and tossed their asses right out! Stupid fuckers. :
As for the BB, I'm going to need it anyhow because seeing it kills scabies and lice I want to try it as an end around for a script product used to kill head lice called ulesfia.
Now, if you got kids and what I'm about to tell you even if you don't, you are gonna need either the Ulesfia I make and a lousebuster or at least a 'converted' gun which I've done. And I can tell you this is a fucking NIGHTMARE and part of the problem of why I've been slow on things as EVERYTHING anybody wears or sleeps on has to be washed EVERY DAY in hot water or EVERYBODY will get it. ALL toys and stuffed animals have to be put in bags for at least 30 days and even at that I'm not sure if that's long enough or if all of her shit needs to be thrown out. The only thing WORSE than this is bedbugs which is another reason I don't travel any longer cause you get those and you are FUCKED and just last month in wheeling an entire apartment complex had a bed bug problem with them resistant to pesticides and the people in the complex LITERALLY had to throw away every piece of clothing and furniture away and even books and dressers, etc. I mean those people lost everything and while that's not my problem, that just goes to show you the huge problem of the same type of bug being pesticide resistant.
I've gone a kid who went to a girl scout camp and has now had head lice for over 2 mos with everything from the chemicals they sell at the store to the common use of olive oil and apple cider vinegar (ACV) though you WILL still need the lattter and even a modified heat gun as a 'louse buster' not working BECAUSE 80% of ALL HEAD LICE ARE NOW PESTICIDE AND HOME REMEDY CURE RESISTANT!
Looking for a BB supplier I came across this ULESFIA which just came out July 10th, but is script only.........................NOT IF YOU GET IT FROM ME as while I may or may not use 'exactly' 5% BA which they would have to test, I also changed two other ingredients AND mine only has BA, water, oil, PS80, and one other 'thing' in it!
So if you need it, I've already got it and while they say 10 minutes, I'm testing it on myself for an hour to make sure there is no adverse reaction.
Note also that it only kills the live lice and you have to reapply in 7 days which is then when the ACV and lousebuster come in and as a matter of fact, I think with other remedies it's every TWO days as those EGGS/nits can hatch at any time and by 7 days you could be totally 're-fucked'!

The use of benzyl alcohol as a 5% solution has been approved by the U.S. FDA in the treatment of head lice in children older than 6 months and in adults.[8] The product is sold in the United States (prescription-only) as Ulesfia lotion. The benzyl alcohol prevents the lice from closing their respiratory spiracles: the spiracles become blocked with the other products in the lotion, and the lice asphyxiate.[8] The lotion is not effective against louse eggs, and so two applications with an interval of seven days are required to treat a case of louse infestation.[8]
Active ingredient: benzyl alcohol, 5%
Inactive ingredients: purified water, mineral oil, sorbitan monooleate, polysorbate 80, carbomer 934P and trolamine

Sciele Pharma, Inc., a Shionogi Company, announced the availability of Ulesfia (Benzyl Alcohol Lotion 5%), the first and only prescription medication that kills head lice by asphyxiation without potential neurotoxic side effects. Approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), Ulesfia is indicated for the topical treatment of head lice infestation in patients 6 months of age and older. Ulesfia is available now by prescription nationwide in time for peak head lice season.
"We are pleased to introduce Ulesfia during the summer camp months and ahead of the back-to-school period, two settings and seasons when head lice infestations are prevalent and cause anxiety for parents and children," said Ed Schutter, President and Chief Operating Officer of Sciele Pharma. "This novel product delivers on our goal to provide an effective FDA approved head lice treatment that does not contain a neurotoxic chemical and addresses possible resistance issues."
Each year, approximately 6 to 12 million children between the ages of 3 and 12 years are infested with head lice, parasites that survive by injecting small amounts of saliva and removing small amounts of blood from the scalp every few hours(1). To survive, lice breathe through sophisticated spiracles that close upon contact with most liquids, allowing the lice to go into suspended animation and survive for hours without respiration. Ulesfia's unique mechanism of action is facilitated through the use of benzyl alcohol which prevents lice from closing their spiracles, thereby asphyxiating them within ten minutes and causing death.
"Outbreaks of head lice are beginning now, when kids are interacting at summer camps, and will peak when they return to school," said Anthony J. Mancini, M.D., FAAP, FAAD, Head, Dermatology, Children's Memorial Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology, Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. "We are excited to have a new treatment option for this challenging medical problem that is effective without using harsh chemicals, and will not encounter the increasing resistance of lice to therapies that contain neurotoxic chemicals."
Sciele is collaborating with the National Association of School Nurses to help educate health professionals and the public about head lice.
Full prescribing information for Ulesfia (Benzyl Alcohol Lotion 5%) is available here (pdf). Sciele acquired from Summers Laboratories the rights to this novel, patented product in the United States.
About Head Lice
Generally found on the scalp, around the ears and at the nape of the neck, the adult louse is about the size of a sesame seed and can be a yellowish-gray or reddish-brown color(2). Eggs, or nits, are smaller and are silver in color(3). The most common symptom of head lice is head scratching caused by sensitivity to the louse's saliva(1), although red bite marks may also be noticed(2). While lice are not considered an infectious disease, transmission from one individual to another can occur during direct contact or through the sharing of personal items such as hats, helmets, brushes or combs(1). Lice are not a sign of poor hygiene, and they do not transmit disease.

Updates and a couple more notes some just for me. Aside from BB, benzyl salicylate may also work as it's the same structure as BB except with an OH on C5 of benzyl 1.
I just had my version of BA on for an hour and no problems for the scalp though when I washed it out, I can feel it dried out my face even after I applied a curcumin/carnosine thick lotion and shaved so I'm reapplying that lotions to my entire face, again.
I was reading a couple other places and people were freaking about how much you have to use and I guess it's pretty expensive. I can attest to how much you need to use as you are trying to DROWN the lice and if you want to fully saturate you need 60ml to 75ml though my hair is longer and thicker than most at the most, but that's about right as it usually takes 50ml for the kid when olive oil was used and about the same for the vinegar rinse.
Oh yea, and we now have another chemical anarchy use for syringes in the distribution of these chems and along with using 3ml and 10ml with larger gauge needles to dispense bearing grease and oils............and here's another! I have a 1989 F350 with a 460 EFI gasoline engine which was idling too high and as anybody knows, you can't control idle on those EFI bitches for the most part with just the 'idle stop' screw. So theres a tube which runs to the bottom of the air intake below where the two large air intake tubes go and I think, 'what if?' So I pull it off and the engine runs the same. I then start closing it off with my thumb and it stalls! I start it back up and more slowly close it off and at certain point idle slows!
I reattach that end of the tube and take off the part of the tube which goes into a plastic piece connecting the two main air intake tubes from the air filter............... I tried using a couple hose clamps to reduce the diameter of that tube, but it did nothing so.............chemicalanarchy brainstormI get a 10ml syringe and cut it in 1/2. I then keep the syringe end and cut off the luer lock and 'output nozzle' slightly making it bigger with a dremel and intstalled it and clamped it in. Started it up and it stalled/wouldn't start without foot on gas. It took me about 3 more tries to get the exact correct size of hole on the end of the syringe to get the idle to work. NOT BAD! (In case you are wondering, I cut the syringe LONG ENOUGH so that in case it comes loose from the clamp it can't get sucked into the carb as there is a bend in the tube AND I left one of the hose clamps farther down that tube even just in case that bend didn't stop it) _________________ CtG is SOLVATION!

A new one is out which uses another chemical I have, dimethicone.
Dimethicone is a skin sealer and look in every 'shine' shampoo and hair mousse or gel and dimethicone or polysiloxane or similar should be the third or 4th ingredient.
Basically, it's working like an oil though at $150/gallon I don't see it being as cost effective and seeing there never really was great success with 'oils' when we had lice, if you want to use the dimethicone I'd advice you mix in 5% BA, too,
In fact, now that I just looked at the directions, it doesn't kill the lice, but instead, like vinegar, breaks the bonds of the glue attaching the eggs to the hair so they can be combed out. Used vinegar every damn day and then combed out and it didn't do shit........................I don't expect this will 'rid' you of the problem though it will allow you to go out in public without eggs in you hair.
